Gongura pachadi(Kenaf(Sorrel) chutney)

Ingredients::

Gongura:: 2 bunches

Red chillies :: 15

Cumin seeds:: ! and half teaspoon

Fenugreek seeds:: teaspoon

Mustard seeds :: 1 teaspoon

Garlic :: 2 cloves

Turmeric :: 1 teaspoon

Salt :: 1 and half teaspoon

Oil :: 4 tablespoons

Procedure::

Wash and dry the gongura leaves .In a pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil and add red chillies , fenugreek seeds,! tablespoon of cumin seeds and fry untill fenugreek seeds get little color and keep it aside.Now heat a tablespoon of oil and fry the gongura leaves untill they come together .Now grind the gongura leaves with the fried fenugreek, chillie,cumin along with turmeric and salt into a smooth paste.Now heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add mustard seeds,1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds,2 garlic cloves and fry until the mustard seeds splatter and this to the grinded paste and mix well.Let it cool and store in airtight container.

Enjoy with ghee rice, dosa, roti.
