Pindi pulihora (Rice rava with tamarind)

Ingredients:::

Rice rava :: 2 cups

(To make rice rava wash 3 cups of rice and spread on a towel and let it dry completely,

then grind the rice coarsely in a blender)

Tamarind:: medium lemon size(Soak in little water for 15 minutes)

Peanuts::2 teaspoon

Chana daal::1 teaspoon

Urad daal :: 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds :: 1 teaspoon

Cumin seeds :: 1 teaspoon

Hing(Asafoetida):: 1 pinch

Turmeric :: 1 teaspoon

Green chillie ::1

Red chillie ::1

Curry leaves ::7 to 8

Salt :: 2 teaspoons

Oil :: 3 tablespoons

Procedure::

First prepare the rice rava as described in the ingredients section. In a deep pan add 6 cups of water ,2 teaspoons of salt,1 teaspoon of turmeric ,1 tablespoon of oil and bring it to a boil.Now add the 2 cups of rava stirring slowly without any lumps.Once all the rava is mixed in the water put the lid and cook it on medium heat stirring occassionally so there are no lumps of rava .Once the rava is cooked(it should feel soft to the touch) Now sqeeze the soaked tamarind with the water directly into the cooked rava.Donot add extra water to the tamarind ,it should be thick paste.Now in a frying pan heat 2 tablespoons of oil and add Peanuts, Urad daal ,Chana daal, Mustard seeds,Cumin seeds,Hing

and let them fry for few seconds.Once the peanuts get little color add red chillie,green chillie and fry for few seconds and pour the tempering onto the cooked rava. Mix well and enjoy.
