Totakura kaadalu podi kura(Amarathus curry)

Ingredients::

Totakura kaadalu:: 4 cups cut into small pieces

moong daal:: 1 cup

Urad daal:;1 teaspoon

mustard seeds:: 1/2 teaspoon

cumin seeds::1/2 teaspoon

red chillies::2

green chillie::1

garlic cloves::2

curry leaves::4 to 5

turmeric::1/4 teaspoon

salt to taste

Procedure::

Wash the totakura stems and cut them into small pieces .In a pan add the totakura pieces and washed daal and add a cup of water and cook until the daal is tender.Now drain the remaining water from the daal and totakura mixture and keep it aside.In a pan heat a tablespoon of oil and add urad daal,mustard seeds,cumin seeds and let the seeds splatter.Now add red chillies, green chillie, garlic pieces and curry leaves and let them fry for few seconds.Once the garlic turns golden add the daal and totakura mixture and add turmeric and salt.Now cook until the curry comes together.

Tastes good with roti and rice.

Tastes good at room temperature for a day.
