Vankaya Goruchikkudi Kura(Brinjal cluster bean curry)

Ingredients::

vankaya(brinjal)::1/4 kg

goru chikkudi kaya(cluster beans):: 1/4 kg

green chillies::2

red chillie::1

urad daal::1 teaspoon

chana daal::1 teaspoon

mustard seeds::1/2 teaspoon

curry leaves : : 4or 5 leaves

ginger::1/4 inch

turmeric::1/4 teaspoon

oil::1 tablespoon

salt to taste

Procedure::

Wash and cut the brinjal and chikkudi into small pieces.Cut the green chiilies,curry leaves and ginger into small pieces or coarsely grind them.Now in a pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil and add urad daal, chana daal, mustard seeds, red chillie ,once the mustard seeds splatter add the corsely grinded paste and stir well.Now add the vankaya and chikkudi to the pan and stir well . Add turmeric and salt to taste and add 1 cup of water and cook with lid on untill the beans are tender to touch.Stirring in between cook untill all the water is evaporated and the curry comes together.Remove in a serving dish and enjoy with roti or rice.Stays good outside for a day.

Optional::

If you like little sourness add one tomatoe cut into small pieces when adding the vankaya and chikkudi.
